| Program Highlights |
|
With a name like Bob's Pretty Terrific
Tourism Conference, you can bet on the
unexpected. This is not your father's stuffy educational
symposium. It's a down-to-earh, lively meeting of
tourism folks who are interested in doing their jobs
better, especially when it comes to marketing.
At Bobs, you'll hear from leading Midwestern
marketing experts, a verteran developer of well known
product brands, and your on-the-ground tourism
colleagues. Meaty, and meaningful, stuff about strategic
planning, understanding your image, and how your
advertising measures up.
At CenStates, we get that people learn the most
from their peers. That's why Bob's will be full of case
studies from people who have the same challenges you do.
Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to network
through interactive tabletops and fun social
events.

| And what a
setting! |
|
The Edgewater. This wonderful
boutique hotel sits directly on shores of beautiful Lake
Mendota. The Edgewater is known for its exquisite food
and beatiful sunset views from the Admiralty Dining
Room, the Cove Lounge, and the Cafe on the Pier. At the
same time, it's just a couple of blocks away
the vibrant downtown Madison capitol square and
lively State and King streets.
And Ahhhh. Wisconsin in the
fall. As long as you're making the short trip for the
conference, why not take a before or after break?
In Madison alone, you can take in the Henry Vilas
Zoo and the Madison Children's Museum, or stroll
the historic University of Wisconsin campus. Home to
many Frank Lloyd Wright structures, Madison is also
the site of one of the largest farmer's markets in
the nation.
The city is also a great jumping-off point for
trips to dozens of picturesque communities in the
surrounding countryside. Here, you'll encouter charming
ethic encloaves, artisan communities, and some of the
state's most intriguing attractions including the Mount
Horeb Mustard Museum, Cave of the Mounds, Little Norway,
the Wisconsin Dells, and The House on the Rock resort.
